Prof. Dr. med. Florian Würschmidt

Nach dem Studium der Medizin an der Philipps Universität Marburg und dem Universitätsklinikum Eppendorf (UKE) in Hamburg galt mein Interesse der Grundlagenforschung in der Strahlenbiologie und experimentellen Strahlentherapie am Institut für Biophysik und Strahlenbiologie unter Prof. Dr. Jung und Prof. Dr. Beck-Bornholdt und im Rahmen eines Forschungsaufenthaltes am Academisch Medisch Centrum der Universität Amsterdam, Holland.

Sie lehrten mich wissenschaftliches Arbeiten in Teams bestehend aus Physikern, Biologen und Ärzten und weckten meine Neugier für das Fach Strahlentherapie. Meine Dissertation und meine Habilitationsschrift beschäftigten sich mit Fragen der experimentellen Strahlentherapie. Nach 3 Jahren Forschung trat ich meine Ausbildung zum Strahlentherapeuten bei Prof. Heilmann im AK St. Georg, Hamburg, an. Als Oberarzt arbeitete ich zunächst am UKE, dann für mehrere Jahre am Klinikum rechts der Isar der TU München unter Prof. Molls. Die TU München ernannte mich 2013 zum außerplanmäßigen (apl.) Professor im Fach Strahlentherapie. Seit 2003 bin ich als niedergelassener Arzt in eigener Praxis, seit 2009 in der Geschäftsführung der Radiologischen Allianz tätig.

Seit 2008 setzen wir in unserer Praxis stereotaktische Behandlungsverfahren sowohl im Kopfbereich als auch extrakraniell insbesondere für Tumorerkankungen der Lunge, der Leber und der Nebennieren ein.
